Overview

To achieve the "walking effect", you need to fill the balloon with helium, which makes it float. The legs, on the other hand, act as a kind of weight, thanks to which the balloon does not fly up, but remains standing on the ground. By pulling the string, it then follows you like a loyal friend.

  • A balloon filled with air will last for a week without changing (however, you won't get the effect of a walking balloon).
  • A balloon filled with helium looks like it's really walking, but the helium gradually leaks out of the balloon, causing it to lose its shape.
  • The length of time it takes for a balloon to fully deflate depends on the surrounding conditions and handling. A helium-filled balloon is fully inflated for approximately 24 hours, after which the helium gradually leaks out.
  • The balloon can be re-inflated.
